Thailand is one of the more open nations of South-East Asia, guaranteeing freedom of religion.

Although political tensions continue, the Thai economy is fairly strong. Tourism is one of the nation's biggest industries, but this sadly goes hand-in-hand with human trafficking and the drug trade.

The church in Thailand is growing at a modest rate, but many areas remain unreached and work to reach such groups is rarely considered a priority. Some groups in the north still don't have access to Scripture in their own language and outreach to the Malays in the south has barely begun at all.

How to pray

  • For peace and stability in light of ongoing political tensions within the country, and with regards to refugees from neighbouring countries
  • For God to work among those caught up in the sex and drug trades, using His people to save many
  • For continued freedom of religion, openness to the Gospel and missionary zeal
  • For efforts to reach the whole nation to bear fruit, seeing more workers sent out and gospel communities beginning in every region
