Our partners in South–East Asia continue to translate, print, and distribute literature for local churches. There is a particular focus on providing materials for children and Sunday School teachers, as these are in particularly short supply among the local people groups. Most recently, a new series based on the book of Exodus has been completed, with over 100 churches requesting copies for their kids’ ministries.

Alongside producing these materials, our partners send teacher training teams across this area of Asia to hold training workshops for Sunday School teachers. A training team is travelling this week to hold the last two workshops of the year focusing on the new Exodus materials for children.

The long journey, which includes a 24–hour–plus bus ride, is a dangerous one. The team are carrying a lot of materials with them for distribution to the churches they’ll meet Sunday School teachers from. The region being travelled to, however, is a hotspot for persecution against Christians.

Our partners have asked us to join them in prayer this week for safe travels and protection from those that would disrupt this ministry. Most of all, our partners are praying that the Holy Spirit will work mightily through God’s Word to bring encouragement and new skills to all those attending the training workshops.
