Every heart yearns to connect with God in its own language, but in one closed nation in South–East Asia, there are over 80 dialects and not everyone is able to speak or understand even the national language. 

Naturally, this can create difficulties for new believers. Many village churches comprise Christian brothers and sisters from multiple people groups – often resorting to the national or predominant dialect to ensure as many people can engage as possible. 

One small church, established in 2024, had 25 families from the same people group.  When new believers from another people group and dialect began to attend, they were unable to understand all that was being shared. 

Upon hearing of this problem, our partners sent one of their pastors to teach and disciple the new believers in their own language. Within a short space of time, over 70 people from this second people group had come to faith in Christ. They were given Bibles in their heart language, as well as MP3 players which contained additional biblical messages. Through gospel partnership and the provision of these materials, this church within a church is now growing strong!
