Khuong was known as a troublemaker. His habit of stealing from Vietnamese villages had led to problems with the local authorities on multiple occasions. He was familiar with the inside of a jail cell and often wreaked havoc, fighting with the other prisoners.

Deep down, Khuong was miserable, anxious about what was happening to him. One day, he decided to open up to another prisoner about his troubles. In response, the other inmate gave him a little Bible, encouraging him that reading this book would ease his worries. As Khuong followed the inmate’s advice, everything began to change. His new friend shared with him from God’s Word, and Khuong came to believe in Jesus. When our partner visited his prison, Khuong was thrilled to learn even more about Jesus.

From then on, instead of causing trouble, he worked hard and his sentence was reduced! When he was released, Khuong began an honest job in construction. As our partners met with him and encouraged him, he shared his commitment to cling to Jesus, no matter how hard things become. He is overflowing with gratitude to the Lord for saving his life and making him a new person! Hallelujah!
