A BIBLE FOR NAW

A life–transforming gift!

Naw is a 48–year–old woman from a small village in Myanmar. Her journey of faith began young—she accepted Christ at just fourteen. Two years later, her father gave her a gift she treasured deeply: her very first Bible.

But life took a harsh turn. As civil war raged on, their home was struck by a bomb, and everything they owned was destroyed in a fire—including her Bible. After that, she had nothing to replace it with. In the village where they moved, finding a Bible was nearly impossible, and buying one was out of the question.

One day she learned from her pastor how much another Bible might cost to buy. The number hit her hard. For her family, the price was like a mountain they’d never be able to climb. She quietly accepted the idea that she might never hold her own Bible again.

Then the unexpected happened.

During a church service, her pastor announced that Bibles would be distributed for free in their village. Anyone who wanted one simply needed to sign up. She didn’t hesitate. She was the first to put her name down.

And soon enough, the day came. A Bible was placed in her hands—her own Bible, freely given. Emotion overwhelmed her. Tears ran down her face as she thanked and praised God, grateful beyond words. After all those years, it felt like a miracle.

She now offers her heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated those Bibles and ensured they reached even the most remote communities. In her own words she says, “God bless you all.”
