A startling encounter leads to new life in Christ!
Raja, a 39–year–old man from a small village, grew up without any particular faith. In his community, some followed Buddhism, others Islam or Christianity, and some honored their ancestors but Raja believed only that “there must be a God,” though he had never sought Him.
That changed when a team of pastors visited his village to share the gospel. Raja showed up mainly for the free lunch, not the message. But during the very first session, something stirred in his heart. He realized that the God he vaguely believed in was real—and living.
The next evening, Raja went home with a severe headache. As he lay in the dark, a voice spoke clearly behind him:
“I am the eternal God who created you. I love you and I died for you on the cross.”
Startled, Raja turned on the light but no one was there. When he turned it off again, the voice repeated the same words. In that moment, he prayed simply:
“If You truly created me and are the living God, give me peace and heal my headache right now then I will believe in You.”
Instantly, the pain vanished. A deep peace filled his heart. He knew he had encountered the living God. That night, Raja confessed his sins and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour.
The pastors later gave him a Bible, and he began reading it daily. God’s Word transformed his life breaking old sinful habits and filling him with new hope.
Today, Raja shares his story with others in his village, reaching those who, like him, once knew nothing about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
