A mountain village in Nepal is experiencing exciting gospel growth after the first ever church was planted in this village just last year! A handful of local believers cleaned up an old poultry farm to be their temporary meeting place and God has been gracious, saving souls and growing the fellowship to 60 believers.

A three–day seminar was held in the village to encourage this young church. After 21 hours on a bus and a seven–hour climb up a mountain, our partner’s ministry team arrived at the old farm expecting around 60 attendees, but their hopes were exceeded! 97 people squashed into the chicken sheds to hear God’s Word taught, including believers and seekers. There were even some visitors from another village, where a small fellowship currently meets in a cowshed!

Among the keen attendees were nine Hindus who stayed for all three days and engaged with God’s Word. After the seminar, our partner said, “People are so encouraged to share Christian faith [with] their relatives, neighbours and friends.” And the numbers of believers in the village continues to grow.
